Houses

Upon arriving, each boy is assigned to a House and will wear a Pembridge, Dawson, Westbourne or Chepstow tie. Housepoints are awarded for any act or piece of work that goes above and beyond the usual expectations. These points are then collected and the winning house is announced each week.  The House with the largest total at the end of the year is awarded the House Trophy.  House Captains are expected to encourage the boys in their House and organise the team for sporting and academic competitions.

Praise

Here at Wetherby Preparatory, we take a pride in all our achievements no matter how small. In addition to the traditional annual prize giving ceremony, we also acknowledge success on a daily basis through awarding 'Headmaster Good Shows,' housepoints, certificates for achievements and continuing to praise boys for excellence in all areas of school life.  Sporting excellence in the senior years is rewarded with  'half' or 'full' colours ties.

For those occasions when a piece of work is outstanding, a 'Headmaster Good Show' is awarded. This highly prized achievement is given by the Headmaster personally and is published in the weekly Wetherbuz.

Form Tutors

Boys will have a form tutor for each year of their school career. A form tutor plays a vital and supportive role in the life of each pupil. In addition to this, opportunities are provided for boys to have discussions about a range of personal, social, health and emotional issues through weekly PSHE sessions.
