Dear Parents,

YEAR 8 COMMON ENTRANCE RESULTS

Although this school has been concerned with the Bryanston Square move for some time, it is the first exit group that has been the main focus of our attention for the past five years. Could we get the boys into the best day and boarding schools in the country and would they pass and achieve good results at Common Entrance?

I am delighted to say that all boys have passed Common Entrance and have posted some quite brilliant results. It is worth noting that some of these results are on the more difficult Scholarship and Winchester exams. The boys that have been accepted to the most academically competitive schools have done so as some of the strongest performers. Henry Hall (7 A, 1 B) to Eton, Scott Wooller (6 A 2 B) to St Paul’s, Rupert Emery (3 A 3 B 1 C) to Winchester were particularly impressive results at CE that compliment the achievements of Oliver Sayers (St. Paul’s), Jake Kelliher (KCS) and George Allen White (Winchester) in their Scholarship and entrance exams respectively.

The destination schools from Year 8 this year are: City of London (4), St. Paul’s (2), Harrow (2), Winchester (2), King’s Wimbledon, Eton, Westminster, Radley, Wellington, Charterhouse, Marlborough, Milton Abbey, Harrodian, Ibstock and Millfield. Four of these boys were offered Scholarships.

Although I have always been confident of the boys’ success at CE, it is very satisfying to have our teaching, marking, and exam preparation vindicated in this way.

WELL DONE, BOYS!
