H I S TO RY Wetherby Preparatory School opened its doors for the first time in September 2004. Although originally starting with only 24 boys and 3 fulltime members of staff, the school quickly outgrew its premises at 19 Pembridge Villas and sought larger accommodation. After celebrating the success of our first Year 8 leavers in 2009, the school successfully moved to Marylebone to our new home, Bryanston Square. The school continues to offer a firstclass education for boys from the ages of 7

T H E AC A D E M I C C U R R I C U L U M Wetherby boys are prepared thoroughly for 11 and Common Entrance examinations and transfer to the most prestigious public schools in the country. Boys are set in English, Maths and French from Year 4 to challenge the most able and boost the confidence of those with areas of need. S P O RT I N G AC T I V I T I E S, C L U B S AND VISITS At Wetherby Prep, we believe that healthy boys need daily physical activity. Using the indoor gymnasium at Seymour Leisure Centre behind the school and the extensive pitches and facilities at nearby Regents Park, we ensure that boys develop their football, rugby and cricket skills. In addition to traditional sports, the school offers badminton, tennis, crosscountry running, rock climbing, table tennis, fencing and rowing on a weekly basis.

T H E A RT S Pleasure and accomplishment in the Arts are significant features of cultural life at Wetherby Prep Music, Drama and the visual Arts enrich boys perspectives on life beyond the traditional, academic curriculum. The reputation of our kitchen continues to grow and a whole range of hot, cold, meat and vegetarian food is prepared every day. ADMISSIONS The school has two main entry points, at 7 and 8. Assessment, for Years 3 and 4, is held during the January of the year of proposed entry. Formal, written examinations are sat in English and Mathematics and then boys take part in a range of Drama, Science, Art and PE workshops. Our procedure allows each candidates potential for success at Wetherby Prep to be assessed.
